COMMUNITY EVENTS / VOLUNTEERING
The bible admonishes us to show the world the loving heart of God by helping those in need. We are to encourage one another; live in harmony, and show good works.
“Likewise, ye younger, submit yourselves unto the elder. Yea, all of you be subject one to another, and be clothed with humility; for God resisteth the proud, and giveth grace to the humble.” I Peter 5:5
The White House Seventh-Day Adventist church has always been involved in the community in various charitable projects, and partnering with other organizations to increase the impact of available resources for those in need. We provide direct support, environmental support, educational opportunities and donation-based events.
We are blessed with our new church facility, that we will be able to accommodate more community functions at the church campus, as well as being able to participate in more local gatherings. It is our mission to increase our presence in the community, to not only reach those in need of basic necessities; but that through our service, we will show others the loving heart of Jesus and help them in their spiritual journey.
Volunteering time and skills to represent WHSDA Church in community events; helping the elderly; working with various committees; helping to maintain the nature trail; working with children; working at food banks; serving meals; distributing holiday food baskets; and making arts/crafts for various events; are just some of the ways we provide services in our church and in our community of White House. Volunteering is a great way to meet other church members and feel a part of this loving church family!
Check out our Calendar for our next event! Hope to see you there!
